I am a Lecturer in Psychology and Mental Health at the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾, with a professional background in mental health, counselling, social care, and education. My teaching focuses on children and young people's mental health, developmental psychology, safeguarding, and wellbeing across the lifespan. I am passionate about helping students connect theory, research, and practice to better understand the experiences of children, young people, and vulnerable populations.
Alongside my teaching, I am an accredited counsellor and hold a Master's degree in Psychology. My academic interests are informed by extensive experience supporting children, young people, families, and individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and social disadvantage.

My teaching interests include:

I am particularly interested in supporting students to critically explore the factors that influence children's development, wellbeing, and life opportunities.
Research Interests
My research interests focus on the experiences and wellbeing of vulnerable groups, particularly:
- Young carers
- The impact of addiction on children, young people, and families
- Child and adolescent mental health
- Trauma and resilience
- Mental health support and intervention for vulnerable populations
- The relationship between adverse childhood experiences and later outcomes
I am especially interested in understanding how children and young people navigate caring responsibilities within families affected by substance misuse and how services can better support their wellbeing and life chances.
