The University is committed to the making a positive contribution to the people of our region and our inspiring facilities are open to the public to use.
The Hive
The Hive is our award-winning joint university and public library, developed in partnership with Worcestershire County Council and is a true exemplar of a university working in partnership for the benefit of the community. Since opening in 2012 it has welcomed more than 6 million visitors, including more than 40,000 visits from school children, and has supported more than 5,000 adults with community learning and developing vital job skills.

The is a national centre of excellence for disability sport. It was the UK’s first indoor sports facility designed for the wheelchair athlete and hosts regular community events. Since opening, more than 4.7m people, including 1.3m children, have visited the Arena to participate in sport.
Infirmary Museum
Our Infirmary Museum is an interactive exhibition exploring the medical stories of one of England’s oldest infirmaries. It hosts school visits each week, as well as drop-in community visitors.
Sports facilities
Our varied sports facilities are regularly used by local schools and community groups, helping to promote health, inclusion, and active lifestyles for all. Our 3G pitches enjoy 27,000 visits per year from children, adults and people with disabilities, and our Lakeside Campus hosts thousands of children each year at its holiday clubs, as well as other members of the community for health and wellbeing activities.
Parking
At our Severn Campus, we have one of Europe’s largest electric vehicle charging parks, with more than 100 charging points, which are available for all members of the community to use.
We offer a residents parking permit, which will allow you to park on our campuses outside of peak hours (8am – 5pm Monday to Friday); anytime at weekends, bank holidays and during the months July and August.
