Harriet is a solicitor and Senior Lecturer in Law. She has 15 years’ experience teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. Harriet joined the ³ÉÈËBÕ¾ in 2023 having previously held the post of Teaching Fellow at the University of Law, London Moorgate and later at the University of Law, Birmingham.
Before teaching, Harriet was a clinical negligence and personal injury solicitor at a leading, civil liberties firm in London. She managed complex clinical negligence and personal injury litigation and advocacy at the High Court. Harriet’s practical and teaching expertise include Civil and Criminal Litigation, Medical Law and Ethics, Personal Injury Practice, Tort, Commercial Law and Advocacy.
Harriet is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (since 2010) and has taught on the Graduate Diploma of Law, Legal Practice Course, LLM and Solicitors Qualifying Entrance (SQE) preparation courses. At the University of Law, Harriet was module lead for Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence and Advocacy. Harriet also successfully led modules in litigation for students at magic circle law firms. She is an experienced designer of law courses and drove pro bono projects including the University of Law’s Personal Injury Law Clinic.
Harriet has a keen interest in ensuring students of all backgrounds have the opportunity and tools to succeed in their legal studies. She has been an apprentice skills coach linked to a number of commercial law firms in addition to participating in widening participation initiatives. She looks forward to transferring her practical knowledge and enthusiasm for the law to students at Worcester.
