Alison is a final year PhD student within the School of Psychology at the 成人B站.  Her main research interest is career development and change, and she is conducting a qualitative study which explores the value of informal learning and development processes to the career success of transformational career changers

Alison’s supervisors are Dr Catharine Ross, Professor Jan Francis-Smythe and Dr Kazia Anderson.

Alison is a member of the Social Psychology of Education Research Interest Group (SPERG) and was Chair of the Post-Graduate Research Student Conference Committee 2018-19.  Alison has also worked alongside the 成人B站 PGCE Secondary team, delivering/assessing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and National Professional Qualification (NPQ) programmes.

Prior to starting her PhD, Alison worked in Human Resource Development and Teaching.
